Five O’Brien Center members are awarded 2019 SBUR Travel Awards

  1. Dr. Teresa Liu, K12 Scholar/Assistant Scientist in the Ricke lab, was awarded a 2019 SBUR Travel Award for her abstract entitled “Estrogen Mediated Racial Disparity in Men with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia”
  2. Dr. Petra Popovics, K12 Scholar/Assistant Scientist in the Ricke lab, was awarded a 2019 SBUR Travel Award for her abstract entitled “Osteopontin Exacerbates the Inflammatory Environment in the Prostate”
  3. Dr. Diya Binoy Joseph, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Strand lab at UT-Southwestern, was awarded a 2019 SBUR Travel Award for her abstract entitled “Identification of Cognate Proximal Cell Types of the Mouse and Human Prostate and Their Enrichment in Human Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia”
  4. Wanting Han, PhD Candidate in the Macoska lab at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, was awarded a 2019 SBUR Travel Award for her abstract entitled “A Preclinical Study of the Combination Treatment of High-Dose Testosterone and CDK4/6 Inhibitors in CRPC”
  5. Dr. Mathilde Bonnemaison, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Macoska lab at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, was awarded a 2019 SBUR Travel Award for her abstract entitled “Prostatic Fibrosis is Coupled to a Mesenchymal IL4/IL13 Autocrine Loop”
